Inspiration
The Ovela started from the paper lanterns strung over summer courtyards — round, weightless, glowing from the inside out. We rebuilt that shape in fabric: gored panels seamed into a full sphere, then split with a single horizontal line so the upper globe and lower dome read as two forms resting against each other. A woven tassel finishes the base, the way a lantern’s cord always did. The result is soft and quiet overhead, more object than fixture.
